If you loved World War 2, and who didn’t, you’ll really enjoy this collection. If you feel you are a little young for this collection, your father will love it. In addition to the 6 films, the box set includes cartoons and shorts from the period.
Command Decision stars Clark Gable and is a realistic account of a dedicated officer in England commanding a bomber group.
Thirty Seconds over Tokyo is an excellent film starring Spencer Tracy as Jimmy Doolittle. It’s about the first bomb raid on Japan.
The Hill is a P.O.W. film and stars Sean Connery as the prisoner in a welcome relief from the James Bond films.
36 Hours is a good espionage film starring James Garner
Air Force is a fairly good account of a B-17 crew who was witness to Pearl Harbor.
Hell to Eternity is an interesting film about an Hispanic boy who is raised in the United States by a Japanese-American family and fights in the war for the U.S. It stars David Janssen and Jeffrey Hunter. <<
