I absolutely love this piece. My mom passed 5yrs ago. It seems like it was last month. I miss her so much. I look at my hands and see hers. She never complained about aches and pains. At 55 I am coming to terms with painful arthritis in my knees. I wonder if she had it also. Years ago, Mom lovingly knitted a blanket with tones of pink and white for my daughter before she was born. In those days, we didn’t know the sex of the child until birth. My daughter Andrea is now 37. As an infant and toddler she really loved that blanket. I now have it now tucked away in a closet. I think Andrea forgot about the blanket. I ocassionaly take it out and look at the fine workmanship, design and love that went into creating this blanket. I know I will have to give it back to her one day. She is probably old enough to appreciate how much she was loved by her Grandmom before she was born and how much this blanket means to us both.
