How I Met my Husband

After 30 years of married bliss even now I cherish the memories how I met my husband. I was working as a driver for the CEO of a Food Industry. One day I was asked to pick up someone (my boss’ cousin) at the airport. I was holding up the placard displaying the person’s name George Heil. There were many other drivers holding cards displaying names of people whom they have to pickup. A tall handsome man with dark brown eyes and a good tan was trying to read the placards, tripped over a trolley and twisted his ankle. He was George Heil whom I had to drive to my Boss’ place. He was in severe pain. So I drove him down to the emergency room where a doctor gave him a shot for pain relief and advised him to rest his ankle for a week with minimum movement. Since there was nobody else to take care of him I was requested by my boss to look after him.

So I ended up playing the role of a nurse and during the week or 10 days we were together most of the time talking to each other and playing Scrabbles, Chess etc. Slowly the acquaintance turned into friendship and friendship turned into love. By the time he was back on his feet he had proposed to me and within a couple of months we were married. And today I am the proud mother of his two wonderful children.
