As a widow of four years I enjoyed reading your post. It offers wonderful insights into how to deal with the grief process. As you say, it is in each individual’s own time and way. elaine

I received a note from a reader on the first suggestion, ‘Learn to let Go of things…” The writer thought that letting go of things like photos was unrealistic and a silly suggestion.
In reading that paragraph again, I tended to agree, and edited that paragraph to reflect a more realistic approach. I also passed the reader’s comment on to the author of the article.

I am in so much grief. My son was killed in a drug-related incident. He went to a woman’s house who had been supplying him with drugs. I had given him money to buy a Suboxone, a medication that staves the cravings for (his) Oxycontin. He knew the woman! The son hit him in the head with a heater. They took his money but did not give him a pill. I’m sure this is what the argument was about. He started to leave when he was hit. It’s unbearable to think “how” he was killed. The man who killed him is now boasting about it on his “My Space.” He’s in a gang. This is breaking my heart. My son was a good person; hated confrontation. I don’t know what to do with this horrible feeling. It was so senseless. Please help me.

I would like to share my story, on the loss of my beloved hubby/best-friend, now almost 24 months.

It truly has been the most difficult journeys of my entire life, and to think of others, also in this, be it starting or otherwise, I would hope that perhaps sharing with each other, may sooth somewhat.

Kindly advise if at all possible.

God Bless you all & thankyou.
