About Us

There is a tendency today to lump all boomers together as if we’re some sort of club. The boomer label implies that we are all the same and that our feelings and experiences are the same, which of course is not true. It shouldn’t be a surprise that we who are over 50 are many things besides being over 50.

Let Life In deals with the realities, not the myths, of being a boomer today. At Let Life In, you’ll find we don’t mince words or beat around the bush. Unlike other websites directed to the ‘after 50′ audience, the writers and editors whose expertise comprise the content of this site don’t sugar-coat the 50+ years but reveal what boomers today, as individuals, are thinking, exploring and experiencing.

Let Life In is about the years after 50, without the B.S.

Gary Geyer > Let Life In, Chief Editor

Before founding Let Life In, Gary was President of Alive & Kicking Enterprises, a communications company specializing in the 50+ market. It included a marketing firm called Alive & Kicking Advertising and Alive and Kicking Magazine, an online magazine. Alive and Kicking Magazine evolved into 50plus Online Magazine where Gary was editor-in-chief and lead writer. ’50plusMag’ was unique in that it focused on contemporary issues but approached them from a 50+ perspective.

In 2005, Gary acquired a business partner and expanded 50plusMag into a larger entity called Let Life In (www.LetLifeIn.com) where he is Chief Editor. Let Life In, in addition to being an online magazine, is an interactive community where everyone who has a story can tell it and anyone who has an opinion can express it.

Gary has a reputation of being knowledgeable and opinionated on a wide variety of topics pertaining to the 50+ age group and is frequently called upon by the media as an expert source. He has been recently quoted in The New York Times, The Orange County Register, The Houston Chronicle, The Arizona Daily Star and The Florida Union.

Gary is the author of the forthcoming book, American Boomer: The Dream, the Promise and the Reality of Life after 50.

Gary’s background was in advertising and marketing as an award-winning copywriter, art director and creative director for some of the largest and most creative advertising agencies in the world (Doyle Dane Bernbach, Lowe & Partners and Bozell).
